BURRILLVILLE – The Buckleupallofus Car Seats For Kids Campaign USA starts Saturday, April 2, and lasts through the end of October this year. Every year, Buckleupallofus campaigns help single parents and low income families obtain free car seats.
This year marks the twenty-fifth year that this campaign has effectively provided families in need with brand new car seats. Many of those years, the campaign partnered with Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us before they went out of business. We hosted car seat check ups at their brick and mortar retail locations every year and those that needed replacement car seats received them for free.
The past couple of years have been slow due to the virus, but that’s all changed now. This year, Children Across America, a non-profit organization located in Milford, Mass., is partnering with Buckleupallofus Car Seats For Kids Campaign USA, by providing free car seats to families and single parents that need them. We will be hosting fundraising events and car shows until October 31 and distributing car seats at various car seat check ups to help keep kids safer in vehicle backseats. Many car clubs, car show DJ’s, community businesses and host establishment sights will also be generating funding for this very important campaign by partnering with and sponsoring these Bucky Safety Car Shows & Community Events. Anyone can help provide these needed car seats for kids by visiting the Children Across America website and making a donation online at https://childrenacrossamerica.org/carseats4kids.

Car seats help save lives. Make sure your child is in a safe car seat. Watch for upcoming car seat check up dates, times and locations. A Bucky Car Seat Check Up Safety Event Showcase is coming to the Warwick Mall in late May with Rhode Island police officers, state troopers and Hasbro Children’s Hospital in attendance inspecting and checking car seats for child passenger safety. Bucky will have plenty of great take home coloring posters, fridge magnets and stickers for all of the kids attending this event.
Bucky Giant Balloon will also be showcasing at this year’s Easter Egg Hunt family event on Saturday, April, 2, starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Burrillville Middle School. Bucky will have plenty of kids safety stuff to take home. Stop by with the kids and say, “Hi Bucky!” The rain date for the event, hosted by the Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department, is Saturday, April 9.
