Burrillville Little League held skills evaluations on Saturday at Richard Peck Fields. The league will hold a field clean up day April 2 and welcomes all to help.

Register this week

Registration for Burrillville students entering kindergarten in 2022 will take place on Wednesday, March 30 from 1 to 5 p.m., and Thursday, March 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Austin T. Levy School at 135 Harrisville Main St. Children must turn five by September 1 and parents must bring proof of residency, a birth certificate and immunization records.

To also have a child screened on registration day call child outreach at (401) 647-7560.

Brayden’s Buddies fundraiser

Visit IGA in Pascoag on Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to purchase goodies while supporting Brayden’s Buddies, and helping a nine-year-old Burrillville boy meeting his goal for his 3rd annual walk for Imagine Walk benefiting The Autism Project. Brayden aims to raise $1,000 by Sunday, April 24.

Photo contest

Art Box Studio in Harrisville is hosting a photo contest in the month of April, with visitors invited to choose 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. View submissions at the studio at 180 Tinkham Lane in the showcase gallery anytime next month. Winners will receive prizes of $50, $25 or a free studio pass.

Fish fry

The Shrine of the Little Flower at 35 Dion Drive is now serving fish fry dinners to go every Friday during Lent in the St. Theresa’s Church hall. Dinners cost $15 and include fish, chips, hand-cut coleslaw and tartar sauce. Grape-nut pudding is also available for $4.

The shrine begins taking orders every Friday at 3 p.m. at (401) 568-3057 and serves take out only until 7 p.m. All proceeds support the parish.

Town meetings

The Pascoag Utility Board of Commissioners will hold a meeting on Monday, March 28 starting at 2 p.m. at 253 Pascoag Main St. The agenda can be found here.

The Burrillville Town Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March 30 starting at 3:30 p.m. for a site visit to various streets and public highways. The agenda can be found here.
