Earth Day cleanup announced

The town of Glocester’s 5th annual Earth Day Celebration clean-up will take place on Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine. Volunteers will meet at the Pavilion at Kent Field on Main Street, Chepachet at 9 a.m. to be assigned an area to clean. Bags and gloves will be provided and the first 50 people to register will receive a free Glocester Earth Day t-shirt.

Quarter Auction & Bingo

Pinewood Pub at 16 Terry Lane in Chepachet will host a Quarter Auction and Bingo featuring local crafters and vendors on Thursday, April 7 starting at 6 p.m. Bring your rolls of quarters and play bingo with $5 buying five games. For tickets contact Linda Lynch at (401) 639-4108.

Library egg hunt

Glocester libraries have announced an Easter Egg Hunt to be held Saturday, April 9 starting at 10 a.m. at Glocester Town Hall. The event is open to children ages ten and under and participants should bring their own basket or bag.

Eggapalooza

Glad Tidings Community Church will host Eggapalooza on Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to noon. The church at 11 Victory Highway will have an Easter Egg hunt, games and activities for children in grades pre-K through 5 including touch-a-truck. The Dinolicious food truck will also be on site.

Town meetings

The Glocester Economic Development Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 5 starting at 7 p.m. at 1145 Putnam Pike. The agenda is here.

The Foster-Glocester School Committee will hold a meeting at Ponaganset High School at 137 Anan Wade Road on Tuesday, April 5 starting at 7 p.m. The agenda can be found here.

The Glocester Board of Contracts & Purchases will hold a meeting on Wednesday, April 6 starting at 11 a.m. in the Town Council Chambers of the Glocester Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike. The agenda is here.

The Glocester Conservation Commission is expected to meet on Thursday, April 7 starting at 7 p.m. at Glocester Town Hall. The agenda for the meeting is not yet posted.
