The Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department has announced the planning of the 29th Anniversary Family Fair for Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stillwater Mill Center by Jesse Smith Library on Tinkham Lane. A rain date is planned for Saturday, June 25.
The purpose of the Family Fair is to inform parents of programs and services available to assist in meeting the needs of their families, and to bring together non-profit organizations and agencies in a community setting.
In keeping with the history of the Family Fair, participation will be open to local businesses, organizations, and agencies both local and statewide.
Parks and Recreation Department is collaborating with the Farmer’s Market and the Jesse Smith Library on the event, themed, “Old Time Family Fun Fair,” and it will feature traditional fair activities and games with an old fashioned twist. There will be food, raffles, giveaways, games, entertainment, Farmer’s Market, and more.
Businesses and organizations are invited to participate by setting up a booth illustrating their services and programs. This event is a chance to showcase the organization or agency; to network and share with others, both professionally and with the community, free of charge. Space is limited and Burrillville community groups and non-profits receive first priority.
The registration deadline is Friday, May 20. Registration forms and/or more information are available by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at (401) 568-9470 or [email protected].
