The Burrillville Lions Club is celebrating its 75th year of serving the Burrillville community – and now the sister town of North Smithfield – with the mottos, “We Serve,” and, “Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion.” The club is inviting the public to join in a gala to mark the landmark anniversary on Thursday, June 16.
The event will be held at Bella Restaurant at 1992 Victory Highway in Glendale, with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner to start at 6:30 p.m., followed by a short speaking program. View Lions memorabilia and photos from the club’s past while enjoying some light entertainment.
“We are immensely proud of our work and many accomplishments and activities throughout the years in such areas as sight conservation, diabetes awareness, dictionary, backpack, Earth Day projects and more, and with your continued support and encouragement, look forward to many more,” noted event Chairman Tom Tatro.
The celebration is open to the public and all are invited to attend. Tickets cost $35 per person and local residents, organizations and businesses are welcome to reserve a table for 8-10 people, and enjoy a night with family, friends and/or work associates.
Payment can be mailed to: Burrillville Lions Club, P.O. Box 414, Harrisville, RI 02830 by June 2. For more information contact Tatro at (401) 474-8251 or [email protected], or Secretary Richard Nolan at (401) 568-3695 or [email protected].
