CRANSTON – The $50,000 prize from a winning Powerball ticket sold in Slatersville last week has officially been claimed according to officials with the Rhode Island Lottery.
A woman from North Smithfield reportedly came forward to claim the win from the drawing on Wednesday, May 18.
According to a release from RIL, the winner matched four numbers and the Powerball number. Lottery officials pointed out that If she had purchased the Power Play feature, the prize would have been multiplied by 3, the Power Play number for that draw, and the prize would have been $150,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms at 302 North Main St. in Slatersville.
The winner reportedly said she plans to put her winnings in the bank.
