Candidates visit Jesse Smith
Democratic candidates for the U.S. House Rhode Island District 2 Joy Fox and Omar Bah will be at the Burrillville Town Democrat Committee meeting on Thursday, June 2 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Jesse Smith Library community meeting room.

Beach opens for the season
Spring Lake Beach opens for the season on Saturday, June 4 and is scheduled to be open daily through August 28 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m., staff and weather permitting. Beach Manager Judy Lopez noted that due to a staff shortage, water access may be restricted and hours may be shortened.
Burrillville residents can purchase a family pass for $30 for the season.
Fair seeks volunteers, prizes
Organizers are seeking volunteers to help with set up and clean up of the Burrillville Family Fair, to be held Saturday, June 18 by the Stillwater Mill pavilion. They are also seeking baskets, gift certificates and other items for the raffle table, with all funds raised to benefit Burrillville senior programing.

Ukulele lessons
A free 8-week session of Ukulele classes for seniors age 62 and up, for both beginners and advanced players, will begin on Wednesday, June 8 at 50 Lodge Road. All necessary is equipment provided.
