Blood drive

Friends of the Knights of Columbus Council #383 has again partnered with the Rhode Island Blood Center and St Patrick’s Church to host a 50-pint drive on Thursday, June 9 at the church at 45 Harrisville Main St., from 1 to 7 p.m. in the parish hall. Donations can be made by appointment by visiting ribc.org/drives with sponsor code 0675. Walk-ins will be welcomed if availability permits at time of arrival.

The groups last held a successful drive in January.

Trashion show

Burrillville Middle School at 2200 Broncos Highway will host a Trashion Show and art exhibit on Thursday, June 9 with doors to open at 6 p.m. The event will include light refreshments, raffles and photo fun, with art on display through the halls, and a show to begin at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

Toti’s party

Toti’s Tavern at 8 Callahan School St. will host a Grand Reopening Party on Saturday, June 11 from 3 to 11 p.m. Stop by the bar to catch DJ Wisevlad from 4 to 8 p.m. and enjoy food, drinks and fun.

Firefighter’s memorial

Harrisville Hose Company #1 will host the Northern Rhode Island Firefighter’s League 96th annual Memorial Service at Firefighter’s Memorial Park on Sunday, June 12 starting at 10 a.m. The event, at the park on Callahan School Street will take place rain or shine with participation by the Harrisville, Pascoag, Oakland-Mapleville, Wallum Lake, Nasonville, Chepachet, Harmony and West Glocester Fire Departments. The public is welcome to attend.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Planning Board will hold a meeting on Monday, June 6 starting at 7 p.m. in the Jesse Smith Memorial Library community room at 100 Tinkham Lane. The agenda can be found here.
