Road work starts Monday

Starting today, Monday, July 18, and continuing into the next two weeks weather permitting, the Department of Public Works will be reclaiming and paving Highpoint Drive, Circle Drive and Antaya Drive.

Armadillo appearance Wednesday

North Smithfield Public Library still has a variety of special summer programs for all ages being offered this summer. Registration is required for the following events as space is limited.

Texas Roadhouse’s Andy Armadillo will make an appearance at story time on Wednesday, July 20. The theme will be armadillos and photographs are welcome. Cool off on Wednesday, July 27 as you make ice cream or learn about some small wild animals on Tuesday, Aug. 2 with Dave Marchetti’s Animal Experiences. And if you missed magician Fran Flynn last winter, you’ll want to catch his return performance on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

For additional information and to register for these programs and the many others being offered, visit the library website nspl.info or call (401) 767-2780.

  1. How about paving the busiest roads like Pound Hill Road and Woonsocket Hill Road. But we do not pave on need we pave on the politically connected people just look at Parkview Drive.
