NORTH SMITHFIELD – T. Milozzi Paving will install the top course of new pavement on Woonsocket Hill Road on Wednesday, Sept.18 in a one day project targeting the area from Knollridge Drive to the power lines, according to a release from the Department of Public Works.
Paving will begin at 7 a.m. and run through 4 p.m. and Public Works Director Ray Pendergast is asking that all vehicles be removed from the stretch of roadway during the operation to help expedite the work.
There will be limited access to the area throughout the workday, with a police detail and flagger to direct emergency traffic. Travelers are advised to seek an alternative route.
“Please note that this work could be cancelled without notice due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances,” Pendergast noted. “We apologize for any inconvenience that this may create, but with your patience and cooperation, we can get this work completed as quickly as possible.”
