Community clinic
North Smithfield Middle School at 1850 Providence Pike will host a community flu clinic on Monday, Oct. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The clinic is open to anyone age 3 and up, and participants must register with the Rhode Island Department of Health here.
Meet & Greet
The Music Education Association of North Smithfield will host a Meet & Greet on Tuesday, Oct. 4 starting at 6 p.m. in the library at North Smithfield High School. The event will feature live music, details on the NYC Festival, refreshments and concert ticket raffles. All are invited to attend and learn more about the organization.
Artisan Fair seeks vendors
The Beef Barn Restaurant will host a variety of local vendors for an Artisan Fair on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a shopping event ahead of the holidays. Booths are available and any local artisans interested in showcasing their products are invited to email [email protected] for more information and paperwork. Artisans will be required to bring their own set up for their own 10′ X 10′ booth area, and the space fee is $25.
The rain date for the event is Sunday, Oct. 30.
Dinner rescheduled
The annual Dinner Under the Stars event, originally scheduled to be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, on the grounds of the Beef Barn at 200 Industrial Drive, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8. Cocktail hour starts at 5 p.m. and while the event sold out, some guests are now unable to attend and tickets may be available. Anyone is interested in attending should reach out to North Smithfield Parks & Recreation.
Town meetings
The North Smithfield Town Council will hold a meeting on Monday, Oct. 3 starting at 6:45 p.m. at Town Hall at 83 Greene St. The agenda can be found here.
