Flu clinic, Artisan Fair: Five things to know in North Smithfield this week

Spooky crew: Volunteers at Spooky Spirits Night at Goodwin Brothers Farm on Saturday included students from North Smithfield High School. According to organizers from the North Smithfield Heritage Association, Goodwin and Wright's Dairy Farm workers and equipment provided free hayrides to more than 600 people at the event.

Flu clinic

North Smithfield Middle School at 1850 Providence Pike will host a community flu clinic on Monday, Oct. 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The clinic is open to anyone age 3 and up, and participants must register with the Rhode Island Department of Health here.

Ski program

Registration is now open for the 2022-2023 North Smithfield Student Ski and Snowboard Program at Wachusett Mountain. The six-week program begins Friday, Jan. 6 and is open to students in 6th through 12th grade. More information and registration instructions can be found here.

NSHS to destroy records

North Smithfield High School is in the process of clearing students’ cumulative record files for the Class of 2016. Anyone who graduated in June of 2016 who would like to obtain their folder may pick it up at the high school main office prior to Friday, Nov. 18. After that date, these records will be destroyed.  

Artisan Fair

The Beef Barn Restaurant at 200 Industrial Drive will host an Artisan Fair on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 30. The restaurant will have a variety of local artisans selling handmade products, including holiday gifts.

Town meetings

The North Smithfield Zoning Board of Review will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 25 starting at 7 p.m. at Town Hall at 83 Greene St. The agenda is here.
