BURRILLVILLE/GLOCESTER – Two northern Rhode Islanders claimed big lottery wins this week sharing their plans for the money with officials.

A man from Harrisville claimed the $100,000 Powerball Power Play ticket from the drawing Wednesday, April 12. The winner picked up the Quick Pick from North Country Store at 172 Chapel St. in Harrisville. He said the win came at the perfect time as he has an upcoming trip to the Caribbean and plans to save the rest.

The Friday, April 14 drawing also resulted in a local winner, according to officials with the Rhode Island Lottery.

A man from Chepachet won $10,000 on a ticket he purchased at Presentation Club at 15 Bassett St. in North Providence.  He said he plays a Daily Numbers Quick Pick ticket every day and plans to save his winnings.

Tomorrow’s estimated Powerball jackpot is $251 million.
