Glocester police search for alleged car thief


GLOCESTER – Glocester police searched the area of Routes 44 and 94 for around three hours Wednesday evening but were reportedly unable to find a suspect who had fled into the woods.

According to police, the man stole a car, crashed the vehicle and escaped on foot. He was describes as shirtless white man wearing blue jeans with one arm that is heavily tattooed.

Officers called off the search, which involved drones and K-9 units, around 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, saying the investigation would remain ongoing.
