Tax bills

The town has announced that tax bills will be mailed out this week, with the first quarter payment due by Tuesday, August 15. Payments should be mailed to North Smithfield Town Hall at 83 Green St.

Country Wild Heart

The Parks & Recreation Department’s Summer Concert Series continues this week, with a performance by Country Wild Heart by the Town Hall gazebo at 83 Green St. from 6-8 p.m. Food trucks are expected to be on site at the free concert on Thursday, July 27.

Blood Drive

We know it’s right over the town line, but there’s a summer blood shortage – and it comes with family-style chicken.

Wright’s Farm Restaurant will host a blood drive on Friday, July 28 with the bloodmobile on site from 1-8 p.m. All presenting donors will receive a $20 voucher toward their meal. Make an appointment to donate here.

Last chance to register

Two town fall sports programs have registration that ends this week. It is the final week to register for Xpress Football, with openings available for players age 4-14. Registration found here closes on Tuesday, August 1.

Registration for North Smithfield Youth Soccer’s fall rec program also closes on Tuesday, August 1 and can be found here.

Town meetings

The North Smithfield Town Council will hold a joint meeting with the Municipal Building Review Task Force on Tuesday, July 25 at Town Hall starting at 6:45 p.m. The agenda is here.

The Water Supply Review Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, July 26 starting at 6:45 p.m at Town Hall at 83 Green St. The agenda is here.
