BURRILLVILLE – A Harrisville man was a winner in a Wild Money drawing held on Saturday, Sept. 29 according to a release from the Rhode Island lottery.
The man, who purchased the ticket at Li’l General at 485 Chapel St. in Harrisville had a jackpot hit of $53,609 and claimed the prize on Monday, Oct. 2. He reportedly picked his own numbers – 4, 6, 9, 34 and 36 – for special dates.
The winner told lottery officials that he plans to pay bills with the money.
The Powerball jackpot for the drawing on Monday, Oct. 2 is $1.04 billion, the game’s fourth largest jackpot of all time.
