Flu clinic
The Glocester Senior Center at 1210 Putnam Pike will host a flu clinic on Monday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. The clinic is open to employees and members ages 19 and up, and online registration is required to guarantee an appointment. Limited walk-ins will be allowed based on available resources.
To register, visit https://www.thewellcomp.com/patlogin.aspx and login using “gsc.” BCBS Plan 65 will not be accepted and participants must provide a Medicare ID card.
Hocus Pocus
There will be a showing of the film Hocus Pocus at the Kent Field Pavilion at 1111 Putnam Pike on Friday, Oct. 13, starting at dusk. All are invited to attend the showing, put on by Glocester Parks and Recreation.

Customer appreciation
Mind Your Dog at 401 Putnam Pike will hold a Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mulberry Vineyards at 95 Pound Road in Chepachet. The public is invited to attend the event, to feature wine, food trucks, raffles and more.
Scarecrows
The Glocester Scarecrow Festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14 in Chepachet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring live music, vendors, food trucks and more, along with the unveiling of the scarecrows themselves, to remain in place through Monday, Oct. 30.

Fall Fest
The Farm at 463 Tourtellot Hill Road in Chepachet will hold Fall Fest on Sunday, Oct. 15. The family friendly event will include pumpkin painting, fall-inspired baked goods and a petting zoo.
Town meetings
The Glocester Affordable Housing Advisory Board will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 11 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Glocester Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike.
The Glocester Conservation Commission will not hold their regular scheduled meeting on Thursday, Oct. 12.
There are no town meetings scheduled for the remainder of the week.
