Boo Bash, Pumpkin Fest & a Zombie film party: Six things to know in Burrillville this week

BDTC meeting

The Burrillville Democratic Town Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Jesse Smith Library, conference room at 6 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend.

Boo Bash

Jesse Smith Memorial Library will host their third annual Halloween Boo Bash on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the library at 100 Tinkham Lane. The event will include Trick or Treating through the library, and kid-friendly games and activity stations along the Riverwalk. Costumes are encouraged and no registration is required.

Zombie party

The Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. will host a Zombie Classic Film Halloween Party on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 10 p.m. and watch the 1968 classic Night of The Living Dead on the theater’s big screen. Halloween costume – particularly of the zombie variety – are encouraged. There will be trivia, a raffle and concessions and libations available for purchase. The event is free with a $5 suggested donation per person.


The Downtown Pascoag & Neighborhood Association’s annual Pumpkin Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. on the Pascoag Bridgeway. Activities will include a pumpkin carving contest, with guests invited to bring their own carved gourd to enter for the chance to be named scariest, funniest, most original and more with registration from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and judging scheduled for 6-6:30 p.m. The event will also feature local businesses and vendors, food trucks and entertainment.

Learn to Skate

The Burrillville Junior Hockey League’s Learn to Skate program begins on Saturday, Oct. 28. The ten-week program will run on Saturdays and Sunday through January. Learn more and register at

Town meetings

The Burrillville Redevelopment Agency will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 24 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room of Jesse Smith Memorial Library at 100 Tinkham Lane. The agenda is here.
