Northern RI – Two locals who purchased lottery tickets at locations out of town last month scored wins according to a release from the Rhode Island Lottery.
A man from North Smithfield wagered $5 on a 6-spot Keno Plus ticket at Village Gas at 173 Danielson Pike in Foster. The winner matched six out of the six numbers for the base win of $6,000, which was doubled to $12,000 when the “2X” Keno Plus multiplier was drawn, according to lottery officials.
Additionally, a man from Oakland reportedly won $10,000 playing the “Mega Crossword” Instant Game at Cumberland Farms at 1059 Broad St. in Providence. That winner said he plans to pay bills with the money.
