Grad Party raffle, Skate Night & Full Moon Hike: Six things to know in Burrillville this week

Raffle for grad party

The committee for the Class of 2024’s All Night Graduation Party will draw winners in this week in a Spring Raffle to support the event, which aims to help keep students safe on graduation night. The public is invited to the drawing, to be held along with a program honoring winter sports athletes, on Wednesday, March 20 starting at 5 p.m., in the auditorium of the high school at 425 East Ave.

After dark…

Waterfall Cafe at 35 East Ave. will hold a new type of event this week dubbed, “Waterfall After Dark,” with appetizers, martini specials and music by DJ WiseVlad. On Thursday, March 21, the restaurant will have additional late night hours from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Pop-up Market

The Burrillville Farmer’s Market will hold a Pop-up Market at Bravo Brewing Company at 77 Pascoag Main St. on Saturday, March 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. The market will feature baked goods, local meats and artisanal goods, as well as the business’s handcrafted brews.

Open Skate & Family Skate

The Burrillville Junior Hockey League will hold its last open skate of the season at Levy Rink at 425 East Ave. on Saturday, March 23 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $7 per skater with free rentals available on a first come, first serve basis.

On Sunday, the three town elementary schools’ PTAs will host a Family Skate from 4 to 6 p.m. Families are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Burrillville Weekend Backpack Program.

Full Moon Walk

The Burrillville Conservation Commission will hold a guided Full Moon Hike on Sunday, March 24, led by Naturalist Martha Thoman from 6 to 8 p.m. ress for the weather, and bring a hand held flashlight or headlamp. No dogs public children Participants will meet in the parking lot of Burrillville Middle School at Broncos Highway at 6 p.m. The weather backup date for the event is Monday, March 25.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Conservation Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, March 19 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Binns Building at 111 Chapel St. The agenda is here.
