PROVIDENCE – A Burrillville man has been charged in Kent County Superior Court with possession of a ghost gun and large capacity magazines following his arrest on May 19, 2023, by Warwick Police.
On March 20, 2024, the Office of the Attorney General charged Michael Durvin, 57, with one count of possession of a ghost gun, one count of possession of a large capacity magazine, and one count of disorderly conduct.
As alleged in the criminal information, on May 19, 2023, Warwick Police responded to a report of a man in a black Toyota Highlander brandishing a firearm at another vehicle during a road rage incident. Officers located the defendant and stopped him at a Cumberland Farms in West Warwick. Police then conducted a search of the vehicle, during which they found a Polymer 80 9mm handgun, a Glock handgun, and five 15 round magazines.
The defendant is scheduled for arraignment on Friday, April 12 in Kent County Superior Court.
An indictment, information, or complaint is merely an allegation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
