Dinner/comedy
Citizens for the Preservation of Waterman Lake will hold a dinner/comedy show on Friday, May 10 at Wright’s Farm Restaurant. The event will feature a cash bar and raffles with doors at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:45 p.m. and a comedy show to follow with headliner Paul Nardizzi, Howie Mason and Ish Gupta. Plant sale
The Ponaganset chapter of the Future Farmers of America will hold a plant sale on Saturday, May 11 and Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the agricultural building behind Ponaganset High School at 137 Anan Wade Road. There will be hanging baskets, annuals, bedding plants vegetables and geraniums for sale, with all proceeds to benefit the Ponaganset FFA chapter.
Yard sale
A giant yard sale will be held at 81 Douglas Hook Road in Chepachet on Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Annie Walsh Memorial Scholarship.
Wine & Cheese
Mulberry Vineyards at 95 Pound Road will hold a Mother’s Day-themed event on Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring a pairing of their wines with cheesecake providing by Glocester-based Who Cut the Cheesecake. Tickets cost $18 and must be purchased in advance here.
