Memorial Day service, Slatersville Cemetery, Green Street, North Smithfield, 1 to 2 p.m. The General Zenas R. Bliss Camp 12 Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will hold a service. For questions, contact Michael Lannigain at [email protected].
Walking tour, Slatersville Cemetery, Green Street, North Smithfield, 1 to 2 p.m. Join a park ranger for a walking tour of Slatersville at an event presented in partnership with North Smithfield Heritage Association. Learn the stories of local veterans who served in the Civil War. Participants will meet in front of Heritage Hall at 101 Green St.

Monday, May 27
Memorial Day Parade, North Main St., Slatersville, 10:30 a.m. The LeClair Kozlik Logan Bassett VFW Post 6342 will hold a procession starting from Brigidos Market and marching down North Main Street to the Memorial Town Hall at 1 Main St. for a Memorial Ceremony to take place at at 11 a.m. The parade will then continue down School Street and end at the pavilion behind Lindy’s Tavern for a free coalition.
Memorial Day Parade, Chepachet Free Will Baptist Church at 1213 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, 10:30 a.m. The town of Glocester’s annual parade will be followed by a memorial service at Acotes Cemetery.
Memorial Day ceremony, Veterans Park, East Avenue, Harrisville, 11 a.m. The Burrillville Allied Veterans Council American Legion Posts 17 and 88 and VFW Post 1023 event will include a performance by the Burrillville High School band and select chorus. All are invited to attend and honor those who died in service at the ceremony, to be held rain or shine.
Memorial Day picnic, Glad Tidings Community Church, 111 Victory Highway, Chepachet, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include food trucks, a 19-foot waterslide, and games and activities for adults and children.
