CRANSTON – A woman who decided to play Keno Plus while she was eating at a Pascoag restaurant won $18,000, according to a release this week from the Rhode Island Lottery.
The winner, who also lives in Pascoag, was dining at Serio’s Pizzarama & Restaurant at 405 Church St. on Friday, May 31. She reportedly selected her numbers using birthdays and her anniversary.
The woman wagered two dollars on a 7-spot Keno Plus ticket and matched all seven numbers for the base win of $9,000, which was doubled to $18,000 when the “2X” Keno Plus multiplier was drawn, according to lottery officials.
The winner collected her winnings on Monday, June 3 and told lottery officials she plans to use the funds for home improvements.
