Northern RI – With Father’s Day weekend upon us, it’s a great time to get out and enjoy some quality time with dad at a local event or establishment.
For the dad who loves the great outdoors, there are many hiking trails to explore in northern Rhode Island, and if you’re looking for a guide, you can join the Burrillville Land Trust at Clear River Preserve on Saturday. For those with younger kids, check out Glocester libraries outdoor scavenger hunt. Stop by either Glocester Manton or Harmony Library to pick up a sheet and see the items to find on the Steere Hill Trail.
Saturday is also the annual Family Fair at Stillwater Mill Pavilion in Harrisville, offering activities and entertainment, with a little something for everyone in your crowd.
Catch an outdoor movie or band, or visit a local farm for a feast, strawberry picking or a petting zoo. Or maybe check out a local shooting range, offering a Father’s Day special this Sunday.
However you spend it, we hope you enjoy your free time, and consider one the great, local options to celebrate the dad in your life.
