BURRILLVILLE – An unclaimed $10,000 winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Burrillville is soon set to expire, and Rhode Island Lottery officials are sounding the alarm bells in hopes to find the lucky winner.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Li’l General at 485 Chapel St. in Harrisville. If the prize remains unclaimed, it will expire on Friday, August 8. In Rhode Island, players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
The same store sold a $53,609 Wild Money winner last October, which was claimed by a Harrisville man.
All $10,000 and higher unclaimed prizes are listed on the Rhode Island Lottery’s website. Archives for the past twelve months of drawings can be found on the Rhode Island Lottery’s Website Winning Numbers pages. Players can also check their tickets using the free Rhode Island Lottery mobile app or by entering the serial number on the Lottery’s website, rilot.com/ticketchecker.
