NEW YORK – A video memorializing an exchange between former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Burrillville High School basketball coach Kevin Randall at a sports memorabilia show went viral this week.

Randall held a ten minute conversation with the former quarterback at the Fanatics Fest in New York City as Brady checked out his sports cards collection before walking away with some purchases.

“These are insane,” Brady says in an exchange posted on X by a representative from Topps collectible cards. “You’ve got a great collection here.”

Randall, who lives in Central Massachusetts, also used to teach at the high school.

“I was a high school teacher for 13 years,” he tells Brady. “I left to do this full time and having your card was a huge reason why that happened. I bought my dream house from selling and dealing your card.”

“Awesome man,” responds Brady. “I love hearing that. I appreciate it.”

The BHS boys basketball head coach sells cards under the brand, “DaCaptain37,” and gave Brady a complimentary coaster with his logo. For his part, the quarterback purchased cards autographed by quarterbacks Drake Maye, Anthony Richardson and Caleb Williams.

“Good luck with everything,” he says to Randall. “Congrats on your success.”
