Daffodils
The North Smithfield Heritage Association and local gardener Ann Lilley have announced that the 2024 daffodil program is now underway, with Dutchmaster yellow bulbs available at a cost of $20 for a bag of 50. The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to cover the town’s private and public spaces with the flowers, and donation will also be accepted.

Athletics pass
The North Smithfield Athletics Association has announced that athletics passes to attend home games on school grounds are now on sale at a cost of $75 for families of up to six adults, $40 per individual or $3 for seniors. All town students can attend for free.
To purchase a season pass, send funds via Venmo to @NSAthleticAssociation and include the names of all family members who plan to use the family pass.
Pumpkin festival
The 17th annual Great Annual Pumpkin Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds behind North Smithfield High School and Middle School on Providence Pike. The event features food, shopping, entertainment and activities for visitors, with more than 100 different vendor booths each year. The rain date of the event is Sunday, Sept. 22.

The Spectacular
The book club at North Smithfield Library is inviting the public to join them on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10:30 a.m. for a cup of tea and a lively discussion. Yard sale
The Island at 1600 Victory Highway will host a multi-family yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Locals are invited to set up a table or two at a cost of $20 for non-members, or free for members. Loaded Bloody Marys and mimosas will be on sale. To reserve a spot call (401) 762-0965 or add your name to the sign up sheet behind the bar.
The venue will also offer live entertainment this weekend, with Vinyl Frontier Band on Friday, Sept. 20 starting at 7 p.m., a meat raffle on Sunday and Jacob Kordas Acoustic on Sunday, Sept. 22 starting at 2 p.m. All are open to the public.
