BURRILLVILLE – Sunday, Sept. 22, is the first full day of the fall season.
The change of the season directly impacts our area car shows and cruise nights events here in Rhode Island, along with nearby communities in the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. A majority of these weekly automotive venues come to end in the last week of September. Car clubs call it an end to another car show season that began back in early April. Where the time goes, none of us really knows. It goes by fast.
Buckleupallofus giant balloon appearances and showcases were extremely popular with car clubs hosting these events throughout the cruising season. Many of them are charitable fundraisers that help veterans, community non-profits and children’s causes. Buckleupallofus was on-site with thousands of “Because We Care” community business sponsor-supported child passenger and vehicle safety coloring posters, four-page coloring books, full color posters, stickers and refrigerator magnets, passed out to kids and families absolutely free. There were smiles for miles as the kids brought home their favorite dinosaur cartoon character on items for the home. Vibrant and full color Buckleupallofus banners were displayed at these automotive events, reminding everyone to “Buckle Up!” for safety’s sake.
There are still a handful of weekly cruise nights and weekend car shows in the month of October. They are far and few in between, but well worth the visits. Buckleupallofus will be attending trunk-or-treat car shows and touch-a-truck community events throughout the month of October with area police and fire departments reminding everyone about vehicle and traffic safety, along with Halloween safety. One final car show is scheduled for the Saturday after Thanksgiving rounding out the end of the car show season for 2024.
