GLOCESTER – A certified healer – licensed massage therapist; Reiki master; sound healer; mind/body/soul healing and life activation practitioner – Healing In Harmony Wellness Center owner Kerri Anderson says her work is her calling.
“This is what I am supposed to be doing,” Anderson said.
The Putnam Pike business is now celebrating 25 years of success, providing clients with massage and other services such as skin care, facials, electrolysis, waxing and reflexology of feet, hands, face.

On Friday, Nov. 1, Healing In Harmony will mark two and a half decades of serving as a, “Sanctuary for Mind, Body & Soul.”
Anderson and a friend established Healing In Harmony, and after a number of years the friend went in another life direction.
Running a small business offers challenges, Anderson explained.
“There’s not a lot of support for small businesses,” she said. What’s more, “therapists come and go.”
Like other small businesses, Healing In Harmony had the additional pressure of restrictions during the COVID era.
“I didn’t know if we were going to survive,” Anderson said of her business. “We were shut down for four months. Some of the therapists didn’t come back.”
Yet the business, located across from the Harmony Fire Station, forged on, and Anderson opened the doors to clients with just two staff members working.
Anderson kept moving forward.

“It comes from my heart,” she said of her work. “This is what you do for others. Services we provide are so needed.”
“People need this type of healing and self love,” she said. “I do it for others.”
The work, the healer and businessperson explained, is, “an act or service.”
She continually takes classes and does personal development.
“This is a life path for me,” Anderson said.
Civic-minded Anderson offers support to the town beyond the business, with commitments such as sponsoring baseball and soccer teams.
“Being able to have my business support the local sports teams and community – [is to] pay it forward,” she said.
She supports local charities, and also donates services statewide, and said she loves the, “small town feeling,” of being in Glocester.

Through the years, Anderson and her clients have, “celebrated each other’s growth.”
Healing In Harmony Wellness Center’s clientele come from Burrillville, Scituate, North Smithfield and Smithfield, as well as Glocester.
Currently, nine independent contractors work at the business. Anderson herself provides massage, life coaching, sound healing, Tibetan crystal singing bowls, chimes and advanced energy healings. She’s a Reiki master of, “Usui” and an intermediate level expert of, “Ensofic.”
An emphasis at Healing In Harmony is to, “take pride in a safe space,” Anderson said.
“[It] smells so lovely in here… like I can exhale,” a visitor to the business said, according to Anderson. Clients, “take a break from stress, their responsibilities, what can be the harshness out there in the world,” she said. Her clients might rush in to their appointments, but when they leave, “they’re floating out the door.”
“They leave in a different energetic state from how they showed up,” Anderson said, with no end to her work in sight as she moves, perhaps floats, toward the landmark anniversary.
