BURRILLVILLE – A blaze Monday morning on Hillside Drive was extinguished by town firefighters, with damage contained to just the deck of a mobile home.
East Burrillville Fire District Chief Joseph Bertholic said a structure fire at 67 Hillside Drive was reported at 11:02 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28. East Burrillville, Harrisville and Pascoag Fire Departments responded and worked for about an hour to extinguish and overhaul the fire.
Mutual aid departments from North Smithfield and Glocester reportedly handled two emergency medical calls while the Burrillville companies were tied up with the blaze.
Firefighters were able to confine the incident to the outdoor deck, with no reported damage to the home itself. No injuries were reported.
The state fire marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
