The Rhode Island Stage Ensemble will present A Christmas Carol at the Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. on several dates in December. The production, adapted by Christian O’Neill from the original novella by Charles Dickens, will be directed by K Love with music direction by Merynn Flynn and choreography by Denise Belisle. The show will take place on December 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. and December 15 and 21 at 2 p.m.
Admission costs $27 or $23 for seniors, students and military and tickets are available now at www.ristage.org. An additional $2 fee will apply for at-the-door sales.
It is the first time that Dickens’ classic has ever been performed at the historic theater. The timeless tale of Scrooge will spring to life with veteran Burrillville actor Steve Taschereau in the role, according to a release from RISE.
