NORTH SMITHFIELD – Town Administrator-elect Scott Gibbs has announced his transition team, releasing the news in a move he noted is consistent with his pledge of full transparency.

The following individuals were named to the team:

  • Beth Faricy, former North Smithfield town administrator and former West Bridgewater, Mass. town administrator for 21 Years.
  • Gary Ezovsky, former North Smithfield town administrator.
  • Paul Baillargeon former North Smithfield town solicitor.
  • Bethanie Benoit, North Smithfield resident and marketing executive and president of Field Office Consulting.
  • Kevin Carriere, North Smithfield resident and assistant professor of psychology for Stonehill College.
  • Tony Deller, North Smithfield resident and CPA.
  • Kevin Newton, North Smithfield resident and auditor at Amica.
  • Steve D’Agostino, North Smithfield resident and Woonsocket director of Public Works.
  • Andrew Crowshaw, North Smithfield resident and project manager at Narragansett Improvement Company.
  • Patty Hines, North Kingstown resident, human resource executive and principal at H&H Consulting, a human resource management consultancy.
  • Jennifer Vinnitti, Seekonk, Mass. resident and principal at JLV Consulting, a marketing and communications consultancy

Gibbs said that he will also be working with Town Solicitor David Igliozzi to assist in coordinating the transition to his administration.

He said that the team is designed to include individuals who understand the overall operations of Town Hall and town governance, and public policy, as well as experts in various areas of town operations, business process and organizational management. Gibbs said that experts will be used to meet with town department directors and to provide a general overview of operating strengths and weaknesses.

The administrator, who defeated opponent Beth Newberry in a narrow election win last week, noted that his experts will not be evaluating Town Hall personnel, but rather providing information that will be incorporated into a town governance improvement plan.

“Our goal is to develop and adopt policies and procedures that will be used by all town departments in their operations,” Gibbs said.

  1. Not a very fiscal responsible transition team, all big spenders, with Ezovski leading the pack, I’m afraid Gibbs may have just been a trojan horse.

  2. This should be interesting, well the Union village residents can definitely expect the dumping behind the cemetery to probably get worse with the Woonsocket dpw head now completely in the circle. Woony has been dumping non stop along with others going on 7 years now with no end in site.

  3. Can we ensure all elected officials use town supplied email addresses for all email communications that are Town related? The use of personal emails for Town business is generally not recommended as it can raise concerns about transparency, accountability, and security, often violating public records laws and potentially exposing sensitive information due to the lack of control over personal email systems; most towns require officials to use dedicated, official email addresses for conducting public business.

  4. Wow!!! I do not see this bunch as advisors I would trust. Each has a their own agenda. Gary Ezovski who raised taxes every year and supported large capital spending such as the police station that failed with zero concern for the impact on the taxpayers. Paul Baillargeon who just wants to make sure that Holliston has zero zoning issues. Steve D’Agostino who has not done well in Woonsocket and was a strong support of the disgraced Woonsocket ex mayor. Other people with personal business interest and way to make money from the town. Just cant wait to see the first big ticket item that will be presented in the March budget and the large tax increase proposed. Somebody correct me if you do not think we will see a large increase in spending and tax increases in the future. God please help the taxpayers of North Smithfield.
