NORTH SMITHFIELD – Rhode Island State Police arrested a North Smithfield man last week after breathalyzer tests showed he was driving with a Blood Alcohol Content at more than twice the legal limit.
Christopher Boulay, 45, of 14 Country Way, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, first offense, with a blood alcohol content of .15 or greater.
According to a release on the incident, Boulay was stopped on Route 95 at 12:19 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, and the breathalyzer test showed phase I and II B.A.C levels of 0.163 percent and 0.174 percent, respectively.
Boulay was taken to Hope Valley Barracks, and was processed and arraigned in Third District Court. He was released with a bond setting of $1,000 personal recognizance, and was also traffic citations for speeding at more than 11 miles per hour over the posted limit and leaving the lane of travel.
Boulay is due back in court for an arraignment on Friday, Nov. 22.
