Meet & Greet
Navigant Credit Union’s Slatersville branch at 925 Victory Highway will hold a business Meet & Greet on Wednesday, Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Business owners will have the chance to meet with the bank’s team of business development officers, cash management representatives and wealth advisors. Light refreshments will be served.

Cookie walk
The North Smithfield High School Class of 2025 will hold a Cookie Walk fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria of the school at 412 Greenville Road. Guests will be able to purchase boxes of cookies at the door to help support the class.
Hoops return?
The North Smithfield Recreation Department is looking to gauge the public’s interest in the N.S. Hoops program, tentatively set to return in March with a session for grades K-3. Those interested in seeing the program expand are asked to fill out the form here.
Holiday concerts
The North Smithfield High School Music Department will host their annual holiday concert series this week, with performances on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 18 and 19, at 7 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 20 at 9 a.m. Tickets cost $10 and go on sale to the general public today, Monday, Dec. 16.
Christmas service
Smithfield Friends will host a special Christmas service and open house on Sunday, Dec. 22 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the meetinghouse at 108 Smithfield Road. The tiny Quaker congregation was formed in 1705 and was the only church in what is now Woonsocket and North Smithfield for more than 100 years. Reverend Natalia will conduct the service followed by an open house from 12:30 to 4 p.m. with light refreshments. Members also have a mitten tree and are collecting hats and mittens for families in need.
The public is invited to attend and learn about the historic church.
