Police respond to infant death in Pascoag

BURRILLVILLE – A six week old baby was found dead on Thursday when officers responded to a home in Pascoag, according to a release from the Burrillville Police Department.

Burrillville officers and EMS members from the Pascoag Fire Department reportedly responded to a home on Church Street at 6:39 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19. The 6-week-old male infant had reportedly been found unresponsive by the mother in his bassinet.  

The infant was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the baby’s death is reportedly ongoing by the Burrillville Police, the Attorney General’s Office, the Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Department of Children Youth & Families.
