State police arrest two from North Smithfield in separate incidents Monday

LINCOLN/SCITUATE – Troopers with the Rhode Island State Police arrested two individuals from North Smithfield Monday night in separate incidents announced by the Lincoln Woods and Scituate barracks.

Sandra Tetreault, 58, of 610 Greenville Road was apprehended on Monday, Dec. 30 at 8:29 p.m. in Woonsocket, and was transported to state police headquarters in Scituate. Tetreault was charged with one count of issuing fraudulent checks amounting to more than $1,500. According to a release from the barracks, the arrest was the result of an investigation by troopers.

Tetreault was held pending her arraignment in the Third Division District Court, where she will face charges as a violator.

At 11:46 p.m., troopers from the Lincoln Woods barracks apprehended Brian Keene, 44, of 28 Keene St. Keene was picked up during a traffic stop on Route 146 North in North Providence, and charged with possession of a controlled substance, specifically less than 10 grams of cocaine.

After processing Keene was arraigned and released. He is expected to be scheduled to appear at the Third Division District Court on a future date.
