BURRILLVILLE – The Buckleupallofus New Year Promise is a very easy promise to make: “I promise to cross my heart with my seatbelt because somebody loves me.”

Let’s start off the New Year making sure that everyone is safer in family vehicles throughout the entire year. Parents and guardians please make sure to properly restrain children in backseats for safety’s sake. Rear-facing car seats properly installed in backseats can help save an infant’s or toddler’s life. Properly restrain in booster seats and buckle up with seatbelts older kids in backseats to help prevent unintentional injuries and also save lives.

There are three focus months this year that address child passenger safety, starting with the month of February. My popular child passenger safety campaign is called; Cross Your Heart Month. I founded and created this campaign for the month of February because it’s when Valentine’s Day occurs. The theme “cross your heart because somebody loves you,” makes perfect sense during this focus month. Every Valentine’s Day week, police departments everywhere pass out Buckleupallofus child passenger safety coloring posters, coloring books and refrigerator magnets to kids and families in grade schools and libraries designed around this theme for safety. The message is very clear.

May of 2025 is Buckle Up America Month and September of 2025, is National Child Passenger Safety Month. You can find a variety of Buckleupallofus child passenger safety and vehicle safety coloring cartoons during those nationwide focus months, along with related articles right here, in 2025.
