Children’s fabric tufting
Glocester Manton Library at 1137 Putnam Pike will hold a beginner children’s fabric tufting class on Tuesday, March 11 from 5 to 6 p.m. Children ages five and up will use the fabric tool to punch squares through each hole in the design card to create 3D, textured art. Registration is required here.
Craft class
Art Box Studio will be at Hill’s Tavern at 417 Putnam Pike Wednesday night March 12 for a workshop creating mosaic shamrocks from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $30 per person and participants must register at artboxstudiori.com or by calling (401) 568-5000.
Foster Forward
Ponaganset High School is now collecting clothes, books and toys for Foster Forward, an organization that supports people currently or formerly involved in the foster care system. New or gently used items can be dropped off in the foyer of the school at 137 Anan Wade Road through Monday, March 17.
Documentary filmed
If you saw camera crews around town recently, PBS filmed a documentary on Chepachet-based Holidaze Stained Glass. The business at 1186C Putnam Pike will be a part of a 6-part series showcasing various artists and their work dubbed Art Inc. Follow the business on Facebook for updates on the airing schedule.
Wine dinner
The Burrillville Glocester Youth Soccer Association will hold its second annual Wine Tasting Dinner presented by Chepachet Village Wine & Spirits at Assados Kitchen & Bar on Sunday, March 30 starting at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $65 and include a 4-course meal and wine with all proceeds to benefit BGYSA.
