Ziti & meatball fundraiser

The Downtown Pascoag & Neighborhood Association will hold a ziti and meatball fundraiser to benefit the Burrillville High School boys soccer program on Monday, April 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Serio’s Pizza at 405 Church St. The cost is $16 per person via Venmo to @Jillian-Withington.

Family Fair

The 32nd Annual Burrillville Family Fair will be held Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stillwater Mill Center on Tinkham Lane. The event is sponsored by the Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Clear River Electric & Water District and features food, informational booths, raffles, giveaways, games, music and more. Check out some balloon art and Harrisville Fire Department Rescue Vehicles. Donate a box of mac & cheese for the Snack Pack Program to get a free raffle ticket.

The rain date for the event is Saturday, May 17.

Opening Day

The Burrillville Girls Softball Association will hold Opening Day on Saturday, May 3 starting at 10 a.m. at Hauser Field. Games will start after the parade and opening ceremony.

Roger Williams

Mapleville Farm at 544 Victory Highway will hold A Visit With Roger Williams on Sunday May 4, starting at 2 p.m., with historian and archaeologist John McNiff to bring him to life with a first-person portrayal. McNiff will speak for 45-50 minutes on what it was like to live in New England, the issues that drove some English to the new world and more, and will answer questions.

The cost to attend is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 11 to 16, and is free for children age 10 and under. Reservation is required by calling (401) 568-0544.

Spring Dinner Dance

St. Patrick”s Church at 45 Harrisville Main St. will hold its annual Spring Dinner Dance fundraiser on Saturday, May 3 to feature music and dancing with Burrillville’s own Live Music Band, a chicken dinner and a cash bar. Tickets for the event are $25 each or two for $40 and can be purchased by calling (401) 568-5600.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Planning Board will hold a public hearing on a combined master/preliminary plan for the turf field in the auditorium of Burrillville High School on Monday, April 28. The agenda is here.
