FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – A Ponaganset High School graduate will be among several local athletes raising funds for Special Olympics Massachusetts this month at a fun event at Patriot Place.
Amelia Jackson, a member of the New England Revolution’s Unified Soccer Team, will participate in Bowl for a Goal on Wednesday, July 30. The event has raised more than $600,000 for the organization in its previous seven years, with $100,000 used to help support Unified Sports and other programs last year alone.

Jackson, a 2023 PHS graduate, was a member of the Chieftains’ soccer team and is now a sophomore at the University of New Hampshire, where she participates in track and field, and cross country with the Wildcats. She has also been a member of the Revolution’s Unified team for the past three years, playing as a volunteer partner alongside Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Now in its 11th year, the Revolution’s Unified team featured 19 Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners this year.
Bowl for a Goal is the Revolution’s premier fundraising event, where the entire team and coaching staff participate in a night of bowling, food, music and prize giveaways. Presented by Arbella Insurance, the event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Patriot Place. Guests will have the chance to meet Revolution players, and enjoy complimentary appetizers, music and entertainment, with all proceeds to benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts.
Tickets cost $25 and are available here, along with additional information and a donation link.
