Blood drive
The Rhode Island Blood Center has declared a blood emergency noting the region currently has just a two-day supply, far below the seven day supply required to meet hospital and patient needs. All blood types are needed, but the need is particularly urgent for O-positive and O-negative.
The bloodmobile will be parked at Hill’s Tavern at 417 Putnam Pike on Tuesday, July 29 from 3 to 7 p.m. Donors can make an appointment here and walk-ins will also be welcome. Those who donate at the drive will be entered to win a $400 eGift card to Ticketmaster and will receive a “pint for a pint” with a beverage voucher.
