BURRILLVILLE – It’s August folks!
The summer has been trending very hot and humid this year and it’s extremely important to remember that children and pets should not be left alone in hot vehicles. The month of August tends to be very hot every year and leaving kids or pets in hot vehicles is very dangerous, even for a few minutes. Leaving your vehicle running with the A/C on isn’t safe. Kids and animals could accidentally shift a vehicle into gear allowing it to move independently without a licensed adult behind the steering wheel, potentially injuring a child or pet left inside or a pedestrian.
Never leave kids or pets inside a hot vehicle at all, regardless of the situation or circumstances. It’s not safe and could potentially harm these unprotected passengers if left alone – even for a few minutes. Stay safe in the summer heat and humidity.
