Blood drive

The Burrillville Police Department will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, August 5 from 1 to 7 p.m. in the community room of BPD headquarters at 1477 Victory Highway. Sign up to donate at ribc.org/drives using sponsor code 5060.

Auditions

The Assembly Theatre will hold open auditions for AssemblyACT’s production of The Nutcracker on Saturday, August 9 at the American Legion Hall at 105 Harrisville Main St. All levels are welcome and no formal dance experience is required. Concert

The Riverwalk Times Concert Series continues this week with a performance by Wicked Rhode on Saturday, August 9 at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion starting at 6 p.m. The Dinolicious food truck will be on site and visitors are invited to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the free show.

Mushroom walk

The Burrillville Conservation Commission will host a mushroom walk on Sunday, August 10 at Burrillville Middle School at 2220 Bronco Highway starting at 5 p.m. Adults only are invited to join chef and mushroom expert, Spike Mikulski as he shares knowledge and forages the area.

Season end

The Burrillville Little League 11 and 12 year old all star team finished up a great season at the Metro Regional Tournament in Connecticut over the weekend with a loss to New Jersey Sunday night. With their second loss in the double elimination tournament, the Rhode Island state champion team ended the league’s first trip to the regionals in 53 years.

Congratulations to all of the players and coaches on a great 2025 season.

The Burrillville Personnel Board will hold a meeting on Wednesday, August 6 starting at 5 p.m. in the Lees Safety Complex at 1477 Victory Highway. The agenda is here.
