MyRide
The Burrillville School Department is notifying parents that this year, DATTCO will be using the My Ride K-12 app to notify parents if there are any bussing delays or changes on a given day. Those interested in notifications should download the My Ride K-12 app on their phone and create an account. A tutorial on how to do it can be found here.
Parents are advised to “Allow Notifications” from the My Ride K-12 app and use student IDs can be found on Skyward, our BSD online portal.Birthdates should be entered with slashes “XX/XX/XXXX.”
Labor Day
Town Hall is closed today, on Monday, Sept. 1 in celebration of Labor Day and there will be no trash or recycling collection in Burrillville. Pickup will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

Centennial birthday
Shoutout to Doris Angell of Burrillville, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Angell, who lived in Cumberland for most of her life and has been in town for the past 15 years, turned 100 on Sunday, August 24.
End of Summer BBQ
Ace of Dogs LLC at 1910 Victory Highway aill host an End of Summer BBQ on Saturday, Sept. 6 starting at noon, to feature a doggie food truck, food, raffles and an opportunity to meet the trainers. Donations will also be collected for a program dubbed “Mission Enrichment” to supply military working dogs with toys and treats.
Parking Lot Pig Roast
Dev’s Tavern at 341 Chapel St. will hold a Jimmy Buffet-themed Parking Lot Pig Roast on Saturday, Sept. 6 starting at 3 p.m. Guests are invited to decorate their vehicles and wear your grass skirts, leis and coconut bras to the event, which will feature cornhole, beer pong and other tailgate fun.

Community notice
The Burrillville Police Department is notifying residents that a Level III Sex Offender recently registered residence in town. Christopher Pepler, 49, now lives at 475 Town Farm Road, according to the state database. Pepler was convicted of four counts of first degree sexual assault and two counts of second degree sexual assault in 2001, and of fourth degree sexual assault in Connecticut in 2016.

Town meetings
The Pascoag Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 3 starting at 7 p.m. at the station at 141 Howard Ave. The agenda is here.
