Land Trust Legos

Join the Burrillville Land Trust to see a display using LEGO bricks to visualize climate change warming data in a free event at Cross Mills Public Library at 4477 Old Post Road in Charlestown on Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. Land Trust President Paul Roselli will use his family history and and the work of brick artist Andrew Grover, to show the increase in climate change warming data using LEGO materials. “Visualizing raw data ensures accuracy, consistency, clarity and simplicity, and may set the stage to sway a doubtful mind,” said Roselli.

Visitors are invited to join in the discussion.

A candlelight vigil to honor Kylee Monteiro and her unborn baby Ella will be held on Friday, Sept. 26 at Fountain Square Park in Pascoag. Friends, family, teachers, classmates and supporters of domestic abuse education are invited to attend and asked to bring lighters and pink and purple balloons.

Monteiro, who grew up in Burrillville, was found dead in Rehoboth, Mass. in August and was 11 weeks pregnant. Her boyfriend Gregory Groom is now facing murder charges. The vigil will be held rain or shine.
