
Pit crew
Glad Tidings Community Church will hold a Pit Crew meeting on Saturday, Sept. 27 starting at 6 p.m. Young adults are invited to enjoy free food, games and fellowship. For location details, call or text (401) 288-7414. Organizers said attendees can get ready for an apple explosion.

Trek & Tunes
A unique event combining music and nature put on through a collaboration between the Glocester Land Trust and SENE Film, Music & Arts will take place along a mile-long section of Sprague Trail on Saturday, Sept. 27. “Trek & Tunes” will feature ten acts performing from 1 to 4 p.m. on the land trust property, beginning at the Pine Orchard parking lot. Guests are invited to enjoy the live entertainment as they stroll through the Glocester woods.

Mama Train
Mulberry Vineyards at 98 Pound Road will offer live jazz, blues and wine with Mama Train on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. The venue will also host its weekly outdoor yoga with Haven & Harmony on Sunday, Sept. 28 starting at 10 a.m.
Inheritance planning
Harmony Library at 195 Putnam Pike will host Bob and Lisa Sherman on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a hands-on workshop, based on their book The Inheritance Plan, with step-by-step instructions on how to set up an estate plan that avoids taxes, legal fees, probate court and family disputes. All materials will be provided.
Bob Sherman completed a graduate degree in education from West Virginia University and, following a 33 year career in public school administration, designed software applications for businesses and public schools in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Lisa Sherman’s graduate degree in education was attained at Rhode Island College, and she was a public school teacher for 32 years. She is also a certified yoga instructor and a URI Master Gardener.

Highway safety
Glocester Police Patrolman Robert Glaude was honored last week at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation’s Office of Highway Safety awards ceremony for his dedication to highway safety initiatives. Glaude was recognized as the highest achiever in speed enforcement, and the department noted it was a well-deserved recognition

Town meetings
The Glocester Land Trust will not hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
The Glocester Zoning Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 25 has been cancelled.
