The Fearless Dino Protector Squad firefighter dinosaurs have been educating children about fire safety and burn prevention since the early 1990s nationwide, utilizing their Home Safe Home and Seasons Of Safety coloring campaigns in grade schools, daycares, libraries, community centers and pediatric offices, family clinics and children’s hospitals. The effort began with the Cumberland Hill, Cumberland and Woonsocket Fire Departments along with Hasbro Children’s Hospital in the 1990s. These award-winning firefighting dinosaurs with fire apparatus tails and cool firefighting dinosaurs names have been a kids favorite for fire safety and burn prevention for three decades.
This week’s Sunday feature cartoon reminds children to “Drop, Low & Go” if they hear the smoke alarm, and to crawl under the smoke to safety. A white open space is left for kids to illustrate themselves crawling to safety under the Fearless Dino Protector Squad insignia. My kids and family fire safety and burn prevention coloring cartoons are continually utilized by fire departments, child safety organizations and Safe Kids USA Coalitions across America throughout the year and are considered to be the best quality artwork, illustrations and clearly understandable messages related to the art content. The Providence Fire Department has a link on their website featuring a series of fire safety coloring cartoons for parents to print out for their children.
Fire safety and burn prevention season is upon us now and will be an educational and awareness creative outreach effort throughout the month of October and during the entire holiday season, including the long winter months. Kids can continue to learn about fire safety and burn prevention.
Keep kids away from technology and technical devices for a while during the day while encouraging them to be creative, read and write more themselves. These popular cartoon characters and coloring formats also helps children and families to remember to be safer in their daily lives.
