GLOCESTER – Law enforcement looking to pick up a man on warrants this week found not only the suspect, but also a large quantity of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine at his Reynolds Road residence, according to a release from the Glocester Police Department.

Michael Gilligan, 42, was reportedly located in the garage of the home at 56 Reynolds Road during a visit around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 by members of the GPD and the Rhode Island State Fugitive Task Force.

During a search, officers found 155 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $12,000. Gilligan was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, distribution or manufacturing a controlled substance on or near a school and possession of a controlled substance. He was also taken into custody on the outstanding warrants without incident.

Gilligan was transported to the Glocester Police Department, where he was processed and charged. He was later arraigned before Associate Justice Joseph Ippolito in Third District Court, where he was held without bail and presented as a violator in previous cases.

Gilligan is due back in court for a pre-arraignment conference on February 4.
