The Village of Chepachet will hold its annual Candlelight Shopping events on Thursday evenings in December, beginning Dec. 4. Enjoy some Yankee hospitality, with local shops decorated for the season, streets glowing with vintage lights and the sounds of holiday music. Locals and out-of-town shoppers are invited to enjoy an old-fashioned holiday shopping, dining, and entertainment excursion.

Shuttle bus service will be available, and this year, Chepachet Union Church at 1138 Putnam Pike will offer dinners during the events from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., with all proceeds to benefit the church’s food pantry and locals in need. On December 4, the church will have chicken and pasta for $15, and December 11 will be free soup night. At the final stroll December 18, the church will have shepherd’s pie available for $15.
